Zlatý klíč (The Golden Key) museum is situated not far from the Mill colonnade and is a branch of the Karlovy Vary museum. The private museum of Dr Karl Becher once occupied this house. A part of his collection has moved to the Karlovy Vary museum. The museum keeps the collection of a Viennese painter Wilhelm Gause (1853 Đ 1916), works which were ordered from him by the Municipal Council. The paintings emanate the unique atmosphere of the late 19th century, an atmosphere of the social life, during the golden era of this spa town.
